Weather or Whether+

With running weather is never the problem but whether.

I used to run no matter what the weather was outside. I ran in rain so many times back then. I ran in the snow. I ran in ice even when I could barely go. I ran no matter how windy it was. I ran no matter how cold it was. Basically I rarely let anything stop me from getting my run in.

Once with 3 good friends, Brad Robinson, Rick Ferrell, and Larry Meadows we did a 14.5 mile run one early Sunday morning when it was -5 below zero. Plus we all still made it to Sunday School and Church that day. Great Christian buddies that loved to run.

The only weather I would not start a run in was a thunder storm, or if hail was falling. I always waited until the "thunder and lightening" quit before I started. Or the hail storm passed by. I would then start my run even if it was still raining. A little rain never hurt anyone. Haha. 😂😂😂

But these days it's the whether that attacks my daily runs. Which simply means (whether or not I'm going to run). But a couch potatoe will never get in great running shape. Haha. 😂😂😂

Even though I'm older I know if I will trust "God" in all things, I can once again let the weather out weigh the whether.

Margaret supports me if I run, or if I don't. Haha. 😂 I love her with all my heart. I know that she loves me too.

Happy Thursday with God+

...Jeremiah 46:28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the Lord : for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.

I was up at the usual time. I always set my alarm for 4:30am. It gives me plenty of time to get alone with God, chill a bit, and then get ready for work. I love my early mornings with God.

I read Jeremiah 44-46, and prayed over an hour. God always blesses my time with HIM.

I got ready for work, and left at 7:20am like always.

After getting to work I talked to ky wife Margaret for about 30 minutes then clocked in at 8:30am. I get off at 5pm. I'm looking forward to another great day.

God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. We both have been blessed in so many ways. Our 9 furry babies have been blessed too. 2 goats, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 rabbits. Plus we hope to get one more rabbit to make 10 in all this coming Saturday. Our newest rabbit Fluffy, she needs her a buddy. Haha. 😂😂😂

We Love ANIMALS. Yes we do!!! They are God's creation too, and we truly thank HIM for each one. We love them all. We love God too because HE FIRST LOVED US.

Setting Goals with God+

Sometimes in order to achieve a really Big Goal, it's best to set some Short Goals along the way. 

Plus reaching those short goals from time to time keeps you reaching for that big goal. It will eventually come if you have faith in "God", and never give up.

So when I start my "Run2Win" (Streaks) with God on Sunday, July 9, 2023. I want to set a short running goal at the very start of my streaks, and every 2 weeks after that.

My first goal will be to get off the couch, and run at least 1 continuous mile with "God" every day for the first 2 weeks. I want to get used to running every day. 

Why just 1 mile? If you can't run one mile you can't run two or three. Haha. 😂😂😂 

I simply have to start running, and be consistent with it every day. I've only tried a streak two times with the longest one lasting about 26 weeks. That was in 2011. So it's been awhile. 

With God's strength I know I can do this if I stay healthy and injury free. God is good all the time. 

My Big Goal is to spend at least 1 continuous hour with God, and run at least 1 continuous mile with God for 1 year without missing a day.

After that I want to do a 20 Mile Long Run on the Virginia Creeper Trail for old times sake.

That's about it, and I truly thank "God" for the strength 2/run.

I read Jeremiah 41-43, and prayed over an hour. God richly blessed my morning with HIM.

I work from 8:30am - 5pm.

I love Margaret with all my heart. I know that SHE loves me too.

My "Asics" Running Shoes+

Many years ago I used to wear Nike Running Shoes. It wasn't until I tried on my first pair of Asics Running Shoes that I never looked back. 

I have always loved every pair of Asics Running Shoes that I ever bought. They always fit so good, and with every stride my feet were smiling. Plus I've learned from experience happy feet means a happy runner. 🏃🏼😊

Today is no different with the 2 pair of Asics Running Shoes that my sweet sister Tracy bought me. I really do love her, and appreciate the 2 gifts that were given. My feet even thanks her for making them smile. Haha. 😂😂😂

After my goal "Moving2Win" (Streaks) with God starts I will alternate between the 2 pair, and keep my feet as happy as I can. I am looking forward to getting started with God leading the way in my life in all things including my biking, walking, and running.

These are my Asics Gel Contend 7. They feel so good on my feet, and I'm more than thankful to my sister Tracy for them.

TRACY has always been a big support when it comes to her running brother. In fact because she ran track in high school she is the reason I ever laced up my first pair of running shoes. I am so happy to have all of her love and support. I love her with all my heart.

My wife Margaret is my loving fan. We support each other in all things. I love her with all my heart. I know that SHE  loves me too. God has blessed us so much.

More than these 2. I am truly thankful for the love and support that "God" has always given to us. Including His Son Jesus that died for our sins, and later saved Margaret and me.

Whenever my "Moving2Win" (Streaks) with God starts on Sunday, July 9, 2023 I will post a running quote of my own each week. It will change every Sunday when my new week of running with God begins.

My (A to Z) "Running" Quotes+

...It's really simple. I start with a quote that begins with the letter A, and in "26 weeks" I end up with a quote that begins with the letter Z.

After I finish my last quote I start all over with "26 new quotes" that starts with A, and ends with Z.

What I Want To Leave Behind Is Jesus+

Jesus gave his life for us so that we would not persish, but have everlasting life.

Jeaus (the Lamb) will be the light of that city.

Terrific Tuesday with God+

I was up at 4am again ready to start another Terrific Tuesday wirh God. I've had a great morning.

I read Jeremiah 38-40, and prayed over an hour. God richly blessed my time with HIM. I love reading God's word, and talking to my Savior Jesus. It always does my heart good. 

I took a nice hot bath, and got ready for work. I then packed my lunch, said good-bye to Margaret with a sweet hug and kiss, and left for work about 7:20am.

I got there just before 8am. I called Margaret, and talked to her while I fixed me some apple cinnamon oatmeal. It was so good. I had water to drink. 

I clocked in at 8:30am, and then told her good-bye. I miss her so much, and all of furry babies when I'm at work. God is good all the time. I love my job. I get off at 5pm.

I clean medical equipment all day at Community Home Care in Richlands, Virginia. There are lots of good people that work here. My sister Robin works here too. 

Margaret works just as hard taking care of our home, and our 9 furry babies.

This is our newest one. Our female bunny named Fluffy.

Monday Morning with God+

I got up early to start another beautiful day with God. Just 4 days until my goal "Run2Win" (Streaks) with God begins. I can't wait to get started. Woohoo!!! 😜😜😜

I read Jeremiah 35-37, and prayed over an hour. God richly blessed my time with HIM.

After that I got ready for work, and packed my lunch. I have a few more minutes to go, and I'll be leaving for work.

My wife and I feel great this morning, and I truly thank God for it. God is good all the time.

"Bonus Plan" with God+

...Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

...24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

We will get our inheritance someday when God's sounds his great trumpet in the sky, and Jesus returns to take us all to heaven. It's going to be the greatest thing that ever happened to us. We that are saved are so blessed by God. He is so worthy to be praised. Jesus is so worthy to be praised. With Holy Ghost power "Margaret and I" will Praise His Holy Name.

I got this "Bonus Plan" from one of my old "Runner's World" magazines many years ago. I thought it would be a fun idea while I continue to serve God, and get serious one more time working out. This time it will be God first, then biking, walking, or running instead of just running. 

I added my time with God to make it more fun.

Rules+

...1) If I spend 1 continuous hour with God every day I get $2 dollars.

...2) If I bike, walk, or run 1 continuous mile with God every day I get $2 dollars.

...3) In 1 week that comes out to $28 dollars in all.

...4) If I don't miss any time with "God" or biking, walking, or running in that week I get an extra $2 dollars which will make $30 dollars in all.

...5) That simply means if I don't miss any at all in 2 weeks I will get $60 dollars every pay period, or $120 dollar every month unless there are 3 pay periods in one month.

...6) I can use the money I get for "Moving2Win" with God on anything I want to spend it on. Bills, dates with my wife, or just anything I want to buy me or anyone else.

I am ready to start on Sunday, July 9, 2023 "Moving2Win" with God.

"Moving2Win" (Streaks) with God+

...Explained. (=

Moving means moving foward or keep taking a step forward until we reach our destination. 2 means there are 2 parts to it. Win means we always win with God.

Part 1 - God (spiritually)+

...I must spend at least one continuous hour with God for part one of my goal streaks to continue.

Part 2 - God (physically). (=

...I must bike, walk, or run for 1 continuous mile with God for part two of my goal streaks to continue.

Streak Rules with God+

God (spiritually)+

...1) I must read at least 3 chapters in God's word.

...2) I must pray at least 30 minutes.

...3) I must spend that 1 continuous hour with God in the early mornings before I do anything else unless an emergency arises.

...4) It has to be a continuous hour with God. I can not fall asleep or doze for one second. Haha. 😂

...5) I must spend that 1 continuous hour with God before I can bike, walk, or run. There is no exception to this rule.

God (physically). (=

...1) I can bike, walk, or run anytime day of night, and anywhere I want to. 

...2) I can use my exercise bike to count towards my goal streaks.

...3) I can walk or run on a treadmill for it to count.

...4) It has to be a continuous mile with God for it to count  

...5) I must spend one continuous hour with God before I can bike, walk, or run. There is no exception to this rule.

Why God???

...Because without "God" I could not do anything spiritually or physically.
